A trip to Alsace can be planned by bus from Breisach. The autumn timetable supplied by Breisach’s tourist office lists route 826 via Neuf-Brisach to Colmar. It distinguishes Monday–Saturday services from Sundays and public holidays; holidays observed in Alsace apply. The sheet says changes may take effect from 1 December 2026. This guide reflects the information checked on 26 October.

A new number for a familiar connection

If another page still shows R26 or R026, compare the route using the stops. The operator LK Kunegel explains that Fluo bus routes have received new numbers since 1 September 2026. Regular routes now use three digits. The company directs passengers to Fluo for current timetable sheets and to the Pysae app for vehicle locations and traffic information.

For travellers, the actual travel date therefore matters more than a saved route number. An older PDF may still appear prominently in search results. Check its period of validity and whether the service you want runs on that day of the week. Plan the return journey before deciding how to spend the day in Colmar.

Which ticket suits the journey?

The RVF currently lists its Regio-Elsass ticket at €19 for one person and €37 for up to five. It is valid for 24 hours after validation within the RVF network and on Fluo regional buses in Haut-Rhin. French urban buses and TER trains are excluded. Sales channels listed include the RVF mobil and VAG mobil apps and DB ticket machines.

Your choice should therefore reflect the whole journey. Are you starting in Freiburg or only in Breisach? How many people are travelling together, and are further journeys planned? Compare the appropriate tickets before buying. A cross-border ticket does not automatically cover every form of public transport in France.

Check connections shortly before departure

For the German part of the journey, the RVF journey planner also provides current traffic notices and downloadable timetables. The same journey information is available through RVF mobil and VAG mobil. The transport association lists +49 761 207 28 28 for timetable enquiries around the clock.

It is sensible to check both legs again on the day of travel and allow time for a connection. For a cross-border outing in particular, consider the outward journey, return journey and ticket together. That preparation can make a visit to the nearby French town easier to organise.
